When making a donation to the Anchor Bay Community Foundation, you may direct your donation to many areas including individual scholarships and grant making programs. Simply indicate your area of interest on your donor form. Some new funds are listed below. Mac Fund Book Grant - $1,000 The Mac Fund Book Grant, a fund established in 2006, is awarded to a student or students selected by the Scholarship Selection Committee. This student will have demonstrated the ability to meet requirements of any of the scholarships administered by the Anchor Bay Community Foundation and will be awarded in increments of $250 to $1,000 as determined by the Scholarship Selection Committee.
Requirements:
Mac Fund for the Future - $1,000 This unrestricted fund will be awarded as the need arises—when events or circumstances that are impossible to foresee arise—such as a private scholarship or training opportunity for an individual who has demonstrated exemplary achievement during their four years of high school who intends to further his/her education. This student will have demonstrated the ability to meet requirements of any of the scholarships administered by the Anchor Bay Community Foundation.
Requirements:
Marilyn's Kids' Fund Marilyn Moos Stern was a long-time employee of the Anchor Bay School District. When Marilyn died in 2003, and because of her love of children, a group of her friends established a memorial fund to provide scholarships for Anchor Bay School District primary school children in need of special summer or remedial programs. Continued support of the Marilyn's Kids' Fund will provide annual grants for children whose parents cannot otherwise afford these programs. Recipients will be selected by Committee. |
